WhatsApp is developing additional security features.

 A feature under development will allow users to set up an additional PIN. According to a report from WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo, the six-digit code serves as an extra layer of security for your WhatsApp account.

WhatsApp will not enable 2-step verification for users because there is a skip button,” WABetaInfo said. Users can turn on 2-Step Verification in WhatsApp settings. Settings > Accounts > 2-Step Verification.

The WhatsApp account protection section is under development and it is not yet clear when this feature will be available to everyone.
